While most of our friends and family were enjoying the 4th of July poolside or at a BBQ, we were London-bound - hopping on a 9 pm flight after a fun-filled beachside afternoon here in Rota. We enjoyed a nice 4-day weekend with the kids touring London, enjoying some good food and beers, and loving the fact that we were in an English-speaking country for a few days (while Spain is truly wonderful it was nice to be able to communicate without any problems). We were fortunate in that we rented a nice flat in the Imperial Wharf neighborhood which allowed for us to have relaxing breakfasts "at home," to pack our own lunches, and a place for the kids to play while not out touring. Aside from the weather - we had two days with on/off rain - the trip was great! Here are a few of the trips highlights:
