Ronda

This past weekend we packed up the kids and ventured 90-minutes east to the picturesque town of Ronda.  We have been told by many of our friends here in the Rota area that this is a must-see town, and for many, their favorite place in Spain - shortly after arriving we could see why!  Ronda is a pueblos blanco that sits atop a limestone cleft connected by the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) which was completed in 1793.  There are so many stunning views from above the gorge and you can see for miles in the distance.  Additionally, Ronda is known as the place to go to for custom wood furniture.  We visited one of the wood shops that some friends have ordered custom-made furniture from and we hope to come back to do the same for our own family.  Overall, we enjoyed a nice night away in a new place that we will certainly return to before leaving Spain.  Here are a few pictures from our trip:

Alameda del Tajo Parque - there are some fabulous views from here

A typical "Owen fit"...

...solved with some Fanta Naranja

Gotta love Spanish signs!
