Sick Day

Following a day of fun at the beach, Tatum was greeted by a nasty GI bug that started at 03:30.  The rest of the day has been spent on the cough...

March Beach Day

Lindsey was at a retreat this weekend, so the kids and I had a rare weekend alone.  Fortunately, for the first time in a week it wasn't raining and the sun was out.  The kids and I decided to walk the beach since we will not have this opportunity in a few months.

One of our new, favorite finds, fruit flavored ice cream inside a piece of the frozen fruit.  Tonight Tatum enjoyed coconut ice cream - yum!

Owen has decided to join many men in participating in "Mustache March"...we are not too sure how well this look suits him...

El Bucarito

Despite the morning chill and the cool winds, we packed up our brood and joined some friends for a morning-into-the-early-afternoon outing at El Bucarito (http://www.elbucarito.es/index/El_Bucarito.html), a local goat and pig farm that is known for their production of goat cheeses and chorizo.  After relaxed, but typical Spanish breakfast of bread and olive oil or butter, we ventured out onto the farm grounds.  The farm was quite expansive and we were able to mingle with the goats, romp around the somewhat incredibly smelly pig pens, cuddle baby goats and piglets, watch a birds of prey show, and learn about the process of making goat cheese.  All of this was then finished off with a return to the dining hall where we enjoyed some cheese, chorizo, chips, crackers, and drinks of our choice.  The kids had a fun time touring the farm and making the cheese so overall we would call it a success!

A picture a day...

This is our goal for the month of March: to capture an image a day of our life and what is going on and then to post it.  Being so far away from family and friends makes it hard to keep everyone updated on our daily comings and goings.  Let's see if it works!
